Record in the summer of 2012 "Money Water" better represents the aesthetics of Afro Darlings than "California Sasquatch." The clarity of the vocals was an intentional choice and an act of criticism against chill-wave's tendency to obfuscate lyrics and vocals. All six tracks went through several different arrangements and all recorded on Garageband. Although in terms of tools this album is lo-fi, Afro Darlings make great attempts to push the boundaries of said production value to its absolute height.
